“My time with Emma was both illuminating and surprisingly uplifting. It helped me figure out the things that were really important to me. It pulled the curtain back on a topic I naturally wanted to ignore and empowered me to take control of the things I had the power to control for myself and my loved ones.”

Relating To Our Own Thoughts

One of the things that we don’t learn very well in life is how to relate to our own thoughts.

We all have a voice in our head that tells us stories about the world and about ourselves. It tells us scary stories about what might happen in the future and regretful stories about the past. They are all just thoughts, of course, but when we are in the grip of them, they feel sooooo real! Whether the voice is telling us wonderful things about ourselves or tragic things, it’s very hard not to believe in our own inner chatter.

A range of human emotions, even unpleasant ones, are part of the human experience and we can’t possibly expect to avoid them. But we also don’t have to dwell on them. We can learn to experience all our thoughts and feelings without attachment so that we can move through life truly experiencing it, rather than be stuck in a swirl of stories in our head.

Meditation is for anyone who would like to reduce stress and anxiety, feel more connected to their bodies, to other people and the world, and who would like to increase their self-awareness.

If you’re interested in booking me to teach meditation, more please schedule an introductory call with me, or check out one of my upcoming workshops.

“Emma took me through the process of thinking about my life and legacy and planning for what I want for my death. It helped to ease anxieties I didn’t even realize I had around death, which was especially useful during the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s a very impactful exercise to create a positive relationship with death, something Emma models and shares. It’s gonna happen regardless!”
