Apps

The Headspace app is an extremely popular meditation app and for good reason. It’s great for beginners and it’s the one I used when I first started a meditation practice. My kids love the relaxing sleepcasts, and I love the guided meditations and courses and you will too - especially if you, like me, are comforted by the sound of a British man telling you to breathe (my husband was British - I can’t help it!).

Insight Timer is another great meditation app. It doesn’t feature anyone in particular, but collects guided meditations and other resources from a variety of content producers.

Books

These are the books that, in no particular order, have been especially influential to how I approach my work. They range in subject matter - from death and grief to presence and spiritual perspectives - but every one of them I would describe as unsettling and beautiful. These books will shake up your snowglobe! But, when the snowflakes land, you will be able to see the world, life, and death more clearly.
