Lyrics to ‘A Song for Dying’
I co-wrote this song with artist Casino Perosi. The perspective dances between the point of view of someone dying and someone who loves them. It was cathartic for me to transform some of my thoughts and experiences with death into art. I hope you find it meaningful, too.
Creating An End-of-Life Blueprint
Maybe you were diagnosed with a terminal illness. Maybe you had a close call. Maybe you just know that fear of death is holding you back from leading a full life.
Why should I focus on my own death when I am grieving for someone else’s?
When we grieve, the struggle is not limited to accepting the loss of another person’s life. It’s also about accepting our own death.
Transforming Your Relationship To Death
If you are elderly or have a terminal illness, making detailed decisions about the end of your life makes sense. Death seems imminent, so the advantages of thinking about how you want it to go are clear: the more you plan, the more likely it is that your final months, days, and hours will be calm, comfortable and meaningful to you.
