About Emma
Hello! I’m Emma. Here’s a bit about me and how I landed here.
My path into death work began with experiences caring for loved-ones at the end of their lives—first my father, Gerald, and later my husband, James. The lessons I learned shaped, and continue to inform, my practice.
I saw, first-hand, the chaotic and suffering that comes when there is no preparation, when loved-ones are forced to make decisions on the fly in a state of terror and heartbreak. I also, however, discovered something unexpected – and extraordinary. I found that if you are willing to lean-in to death and do things to honor the process, there is profound beauty, peace, and connectedness to be found.
I’ve since spent hundreds of hours supporting individuals at the end of life, guiding grieving families, and helping others to prepare for and live in harmony with death. I’m continually shown the way that life, death, love, and loss are all inextricably woven together. It’s my calling and my honor to do what I can to help people be more present for all of it.
My work is dedicated to my dad, to James, and to all of the fascinating, wild & beautiful creatures who made me who I am.
